Our Story

Grassroots Academy FC was born out of real experience on the touchline. After my first year as a grassroots coach, I was hit with the full force of what this role actually involves, and it was a lot more than just football.

It was a rollercoaster. Between organising fixtures, managing trial applications, dealing with emotional parents, coordinating friendlies, sorting kit, communicating with other coaches, and chasing payments, it became clear this wasn't just a hobby. It was a second job. And one without any proper tools.

What frustrated me most was the chaos. Information was scattered across WhatsApp, Facebook groups, email chains, spreadsheets, The FA's Full-Time system, Matchday apps like Spond, and even manual bank transfers. Every task had a different home. Every message felt like it could get lost. There was no single place to bring it all together.

So I built one.

Grassroots Academy FC is designed for coaches and parents like me. People who love football but are overwhelmed by the admin. It's a central hub for everything trial campaigns, friendly match organising, fixture calendars, parent messaging, training attendance, and player recruitment. All in one place. Simple, powerful, and made specifically for grassroots.

This platform isn't the result of a corporate boardroom or a tech startup trying to break into sport. It's built from the ground up by someone who has lived it and knows how much smoother things can be when the right tools are in place.

We're building the stars of the future. The players who will go on to give joy to hundreds of thousands of people. Players who will light up Sunday mornings, FA Cups, and playgrounds. And just like those before them, they'll inspire the next generation to fall in love with football.

Grassroots football deserves better. That starts by giving grassroots coaches and parents the platform they need.
